Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Mantory Minecraft Java hosting, the Website, and the customer Panel. By creating an account, placing an order, starting a server, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Mantory. If you act on behalf of a company or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that entity.

1. Scope and provider

1.1 These Terms apply to contracts between Mantory, operated by Ali Rayan (sole trader / Kleinunternehmen under § 19 UStG), Welserstraße 3, 87463 Dietmannsried, Germany (“Mantory”, “we”, “us”), and the customer (“you”, “Customer”) for Minecraft Java hosting and related Panel features.

1.2 Mantory is a Templass product. Templass (templass.com) is the parent brand. Mantory (mantory.net) and Templass are operated by the same natural person, Ali Rayan. Brand naming does not create a separate legal entity.

1.3 Provider identity, VAT ID (DE462682632), and statutory notices are set out in the Imprint.

1.4 Contact for contractual and support matters: [email protected]. You may also open a ticket via the Support page.

1.5 Individual written agreements (including Custom quotations) prevail over these Terms where they expressly state so. Mandatory consumer protections under German and EU law remain unaffected where you are a consumer (Verbraucher).

3. Service description

3.1 Mantory provides Minecraft Java Edition hosting only. Supported software types include Paper (default), Vanilla, Purpur, Spigot, Fabric, Forge, and Quilt, as offered in the Panel. Bedrock Edition is not a Mantory product SKU; any Bedrock bridge (for example Geyser / Floodgate) is customer-installed and unsupported as a separate product. The Service is not a general-purpose VPS and not a managed community moderation service.

3.2 The Service runs on modest spare servers in Frankfurt, Germany (the only Mantory point of presence). We do not promise a specific CPU model, memory generation, or storage class. The public Free Plan includes 2 GB RAM and one World per account. Player counts shown on the Website are recommendations, not hard caps. Idle Worlds may be stopped automatically to free capacity. The Free Plan and its limits may change. There is no uptime guarantee.

3.3 Included with the Service (subject to your Plan and add-ons): a game Panel (console, files, SFTP, schedules, and related controls), network DDoS filtering on the Templass path in front of the Frankfurt node, and the ability to install plugins and mods for the chosen software type.

3.4 Optional add-ons (for example Automated Backups or a Dedicated IP) are not sold on the Free Plan. If paid add-ons return, prices and features will be those shown in the Panel at that time.

3.5 The first time you start a World, you must accept Mojang / Microsoft’s Minecraft EULA. Accepting writes eula.txt and allows the World to start. You remain responsible for complying with that EULA and with Minecraft account and content rules that apply to your players.

3.6 We operate on a best-effort / professional-care basis for shared game hosting. Maintenance, upstream network events, hardware failure, and force majeure may affect availability. Status information may be published at mantory.net/status. The Service is not a 99.999% uptime contract. Service credits, if any, are handled case by case through Support (see Section 10).

4. Account and Panel

4.1 To use the Service you must create and maintain an account with accurate registration data. You must be of legal age and capacity to enter into a binding contract under applicable law. If you register for a business, you confirm authority to bind that business.

4.2 Keep login details private. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for everyone you give Panel, SFTP, whitelist, or op access to, except where caused by our proven breach of security duties.

4.3 You are responsible for plugins, mods, datapacks, worlds, configs, databases you enable, and who you whitelist or promote. Mantory does not operate your Minecraft community for you.

4.4 Notify us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe an account is compromised or used in breach of these Terms.

4.5 SFTP access (where offered) uses the host, port, and credentials shown in the Panel (SFTP only; not plain FTP). An SFTP password reset may apply across Worlds on the same Mantory account; treat that password as shared credentials under your control.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 The Service may be used for Minecraft Java and related plugins, mods, and datapacks only.

5.2 You must not use the Service, Website, Panel, or Mantory infrastructure to:

  • run malware, cryptominers (except as an incidental part of a legitimate Minecraft modpack you host for play), scanners, open proxies, or anything that attacks or scans other networks;
  • host, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful under German or EU law (including, without limitation, child sexual abuse material and terrorist content);
  • phishing, spam, fraud, or impersonation;
  • interfere with other customers or the shared platform;
  • bypass resource limits, abuse shared CPU or disk in a way that degraded neighbouring Worlds after a reasonable warning, or attempt to escalate privileges outside the Panel;
  • violate applicable export-control, sanctions, or cybercrime laws.

5.3 Offline-mode (online-mode=false) is allowed at your own risk. We will not treat cracked-auth abuse, account theft fallout, or related player disputes as a support incident. You remain fully responsible for authentication, bans, and community safety on offline-mode Worlds.

5.4 We may suspend or terminate a World or account that is an obvious attack source, hosts malware, or otherwise breaks German or EU law, with notice where reasonable. Where mandatory law requires otherwise (including certain consumer rights), those rules prevail.

6. Customer obligations

6.1 You will:

  • keep backups of anything you cannot recreate (panel snapshots are a convenience, not your only copy);
  • stop the World before replacing jars, uploading a world folder, or making destructive file changes;
  • ensure plugins, mods, and content you install are lawfully obtained and licensed for your use;
  • respond to abuse or security notices from us within a reasonable time.

6.2 You must not present Mantory or Templass as the operator of your Minecraft community’s rules, Discord, or player data practices. You are the operator of the World toward your players (see Privacy Policy).

7. Plans, fair use, and (future) payment

7.1 The public Service is free. There is no price, billing cycle, coupon, or checkout for a Free Plan World. Features are those stated on the Website when you create the World.

7.2 Fair use. One Free Plan World per account. 2 GB RAM. Idle Worlds may be stopped automatically. Shared spare hardware can be busy. We may suspend or remove a World that harms neighbours, bypasses limits, or breaks the AUP, with notice where reasonable.

7.3 No automatic charges. Free Worlds do not renew, expire for non-payment, or send expiry or auto-renew mail. Remove the World from Settings when you no longer need it (download a backup first).

7.4 Future paid plans. We may offer paid Plans later. If we do, prices, cycles, and payment methods (which may include Stripe or PayPal) will be shown at that time. Card data would be handled by those providers; Mantory does not store full card numbers (PANs). Until then, payment tooling in the Panel is unused for Free Plan Worlds.

7.5 Kleinunternehmen. Mantory / Templass is a Kleinunternehmen under § 19 UStG; where that regime applies, invoices (if any are ever issued) may not show VAT.

7.6 Extra RAM and paid add-ons are not available on the Free Plan. If they return, a restart may be required for new allocations.

7.7 There is no money-back guarantee and nothing to refund on the Free Plan. See the Payments page.

7.8 EU / EEA consumers. Because the current Service is free, there is no paid distance contract and no 14-day withdrawal of a charge. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected if a paid Plan is offered later.

8. Data, worlds, and backups

8.1 Worlds, plugins, mods, and backups stay on disk for the life of the Service. Processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

8.2 After you remove a World (or after we close it), we keep the files available for download for 14 days, then delete them. Download what you need before that window ends. We do not guarantee restoration after deletion.

8.3 We do not sell player lists or ticket contents. You are responsible for player data that lands in your server logs, chat, and plugins.

9. Intellectual property and Minecraft

9.1 Mantory and Templass branding, the Website, and Panel software remain ours or our licensors’. You receive no rights in them beyond what you need to use the Service.

9.2 You retain rights in content you upload (worlds, plugins you own, configs), subject to the licences of third-party mods and plugins. You grant us a limited licence to host, back up, and process that content solely to provide the Service.

9.3 Minecraft is a trademark of Mojang / Microsoft. Mantory is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mojang Studios or Microsoft. You must comply with the Minecraft EULA and any applicable Mojang / Microsoft terms.

10. Support, uptime, and credits

10.1 Support is provided via Support and email at [email protected]. Documentation is at mantory.net/docs.

10.2 Support covers Panel access, provisioning, and hosting-platform issues. It does not include building your plugin stack, rewriting broken mods, moderating your players, or debugging third-party software beyond reasonable best-effort tips.

10.3 We work to keep nodes up. Maintenance and upstream network events happen. Credits, if any, are handled case by case through Support. This is not a fixed SLA credit schedule.

11. Suspension and termination

11.1 You may stop using the Service at any time. Remove the World from Panel Settings when you are finished, after downloading backups.

11.2 We may suspend or terminate the Service for material breach of these Terms (including the AUP), fair-use abuse, legal requirement, or risk to the platform, with notice where reasonable.

11.3 On termination or removal, Section 8.2 (14-day download window) applies unless law requires longer retention of invoices or account records, or unless we must retain data for an ongoing abuse or legal investigation.

12. Liability

12.1 We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and where mandatory law so requires (including under the German Product Liability Act).

12.2 For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual duties (Kardinalpflichten), and then limited to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Essential duties are those whose fulfilment makes performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely.

12.3 We are not liable for loss of worlds, plugins, or player data where you failed to keep your own backups, for downtime caused by your plugins or misconfiguration, for offline-mode abuse, or for third-party Mojang / Microsoft / payment-provider outages, except as Section 12.1 requires.

12.4 Where you are a consumer, mandatory rights remain unaffected.

13. Changes to the Service and to these Terms

13.1 We may update Plans, hardware descriptions, and Panel features, including the Free Plan limits. The Free Plan may change or end. There is no prepaid cycle today.

13.2 We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change. For material changes we will give reasonable notice (Website and/or email) where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Where mandatory law requires otherwise, those rules apply. If you do not accept a material change, stop using the Service and remove your World.

14. Governing law and venue

14.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules and excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected where applicable.

14.2 Place of jurisdiction for merchants (Kaufleute), legal persons under public law, and special public funds is Kempten (Allgäu), Germany, where permitted by law.

14.3 If a court finds one clause unusable, the rest still holds.

15. Final provisions

15.1 These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Payments page, are the agreement for Mantory hosting unless a written Custom agreement states otherwise.

15.2 You may not assign the contract without our prior written consent. We may assign to a successor of the Mantory / Templass business.
